July 12 - July 14 Crossing Cape Caution, Sullivan Bay, Turnbull Cove, Echo Bay

We left Fish Egg Inlet to cross Cape Caution to the Broughton's.  Steve would tell you that the crossing was good - no wind just wave and current action. It started out good but then I say it was lumpy and not very much fun  Between the current and waves our Naiad Roll control system  got a good workout! I was glad we were going to the dock at Sullivan Bay!

From Sullivan Bay we went to an anchorage called Turnbull Cove - from there we took a hike to Huaskin Lake and then we were able to take the Dinghy and explore a large area around Turnbull Cove.  We spent the night in Turnbull cove and today July 14th is our 29th Anniversary. We will leave Turnbull cove later but are not sure where we will end up for the night yet.

Roaringhole rapids into Nepal Lagoon - not enough water for us to go into the Lagoon.

We left Turnbull Cove and cruised around the area into Greenway Sound,  Laura's Cove, Simoom Sound  just looking at the different areas.  We thought about anchoring out one more night but we are finally running into quite a few boats - In Laura's Cove there were 9 boats, in Simoom Sound where we wanted to go three boats were already anchored.  It was quite windy in Simoom so we decided to head into Pierre's at Echo Bay for a couple nights - our plan is to explore the area around Echo bay by Dinghy and Pierre's is having a Texas BBQ dinner on Monday night so we will have a dinner out! Yeah! We will also get caught up on the internet and work.
