 June 5 - June 12, 2024

We left Klu Bay for Naha, Dogfish Island, Meyers Chuck, Fools Inlet, Berg Bay, Wrangell then Petersburg.  In Klu Bay we caught lots of crab and a few Shrimp and we met up with more of the RHYC group (except Glen who is still trying to get out of Seattle after his boat work and Kotare who are just back in Ketchikan from a wedding in Florida). We have 6 boats now - Nelsea, North Star, Miners Debt, Butterduck, Wanetta, and Euphoria. We moved from Klu Bay over to Naha where we did the Naha trail  from the float dock along Roosevelt Lagoon to an old Baptist Church Camp called Orton Ranch. We started out with 7 people but the trail was in difficult shape - parts missing and very very slippery on the boardwalk that remains. Its a beautiful forest along the lake and five of us made it to the camp which is about 2 miles from the float - we normally do the trail in about 3 - 4 hours but the hike this time was closer to 5 due to the poor conditions. Still glad we got off the boat and did the hike. We met up with Kotare at Meyers Chuck  so now we have 7 boats. Meyers Chuck is always a fun stop and we had great weather one night for appetizers on the dock. From here we continued on to our final destination of Petersburg where we picked up our son Tyler, Daughter-In-Law Amanda and 3 grandkids Evelyn, Alexis and Zoey.  Tom and Chris picked up their son Jason and girlfriend Monica. Both groups are staying with us until Tracy Arm/Juneau area.

Here are pictures from our journey from Klu Bay to Petersburg.
